Victory for Great Lakes Wolves
Born Free USA, along with a coalition of wildlife protection groups, brought a lawsuit against the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in 2011 after the agency decided to de-list gray wolves in the Great Lakes region from the Endangered Species Act. The agency’s delisting decision was overturned by the D.C. District Court in 2014 and, in August 2017, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the lower court’s ruling.
