Bill Description: This bill would prohibit the display of certain exotic animals — including wild cats, bears, elephants, and non-human primates — in circuses, carnivals, and other traveling exhibitions.

Circus animals spend most of their lives in small, dirty cages, released only to perform; that they are routinely beaten with bullhooks, whips, and other devices; that they are forced to learn unnatural tricks which teach children nothing about the actual behavior of exotic species; and that wild animals behave in unpredictable ways and thus pose a danger to circus patrons.
