Turtles

Turtles are found on every continent except Antarctica and sea turtles are found throughout much of the ocean, yet more than 50% of living turtle species are considered threatened.

Turtles are harvested in large, unsustainable numbers from the wild both for consumption and for the pet trade. This includes protected species taken by wildlife traffickers.
