Sex: Female
Year Born: 2025
Year arrived at Sanctuary: 2025
Species: Olive baboon1
Likes: Her sisters, stuffed animals, and cozy beds.
Peach and her sisters, Mari and Ophelia,2 were confiscated from an exotic animal dealer in 2025. She was only about six months old but had already been separated from her mother. Luckily, she had her sisters with her, giving her the social interaction she desperately needed. She is the most timid of the three, and the other two protect her fiercely; when there is any sign of trouble, Mari and Ophelia pile on top of Peach, covering her almost completely!
She loves to play with toys, wrestle with her sisters, and cuddle in soft blankets and beds. She was young enough to still need baby formula when she arrived but also enjoys all the fruits and vegetables we have to offer!
Our hope is that Peach and her sisters will be integrated into one of our existing baboon groups, where they will get the love and care they need to thrive in their life at the sanctuary.
1. Peach is purported to be an olive baboon, but we suspect she may instead be a hamadryas baboon. We will be able to tell for sure as she grows!
2. We do not know if the three are actually blood related, but they certainly love each other like family!
If you adopt Peach, consider also adopting Little Foot, another baby baboon rescued in 2025.
