ROCHESTER, NY – Katya, an Amur tiger at Seneca Park Zoo, has been diagnosed with early-stage chronic kidney disease, according to the zoo.
The 20-year-old tiger is now receiving treatment and not showing any signs of illness, the zoo said. The zoo said the disease is common and one of the most frequently diagnosed conditions for aging cats of all species.
