A teenage boy in Oklahoma wrested and caught an alligator believed to be a former pet. The teen plans to keep the alligator.

A 6-foot long red tail boa constrictor was found wrapped around a work van’s bumper. No one has come forward to claim the snake and is thought to have been dumped by it’s owner. Animal control officers and a deputy came out to collect the animal without incident.

A python appeared on a neighborhood yard and has taken up residence. The homeowner called several agencies, but was told the snake would not be picked up unless it was a venomous. They have put out a Craig’s List ad in hopes a snake enthusiast will respond. The snake is believed to be a former pet.

A missing 11-foot Burmese python that came up missing and believed to be stolen has been found dead. The snake was found in a dumpster behind a business.

A six-foot snake was found embedded in a work van’s bumper. County Animal Control officials responded to the scene and called a sheriff’s deputy who is an avid snake lover. The snake is believed to be a former pet and was taken to the Southeast Reptile Rescue Center in Griffin.

A 10-foot Burmese python that had been missing for over a month was found alive in the owner’s yard.

A 9-year old macaque owned as a pet was shot and killed after he attacked his owner. The macaque escaped from the home and when his owner tried to catch him with a net, the macaque attacked – biting him in the butt & thigh and tearing apart his right hand severing tendons. The owners friend shot the macaque to stop the attack.

A man tried boarding his flight back home to Brazil from Orlando with 27 snakes hidden in his checked-in luggage. The man is being held by order of the U.S. Marshals.

A sea lion named Bismarck, who was missing his back flippers, died at the Denver Zoo while he was under anesthesia for surgery. He was found in 2008 a an orphaned pup missing his front flippers and transferred to the Denver Zoo in 2009.

A business owner discovered a 6-8 foot red tail boa in his supply room and called police. It is believed to be a former pet and officials are waiting for the owner to come forward.
