OMAHA, NE – Mashile, a 40-year-old white rhino, died last week after a period of age-related health issues.
Mashile was a resident of the Henry Doorly Zoo for nearly 27 years. Her health had been closely monitored due to a tumor in her pelvic region, and her health in recent months had been affected by the lack of mobility and discomfort that could not be managed with medication.
