Willis the African vervet was kept illegally as a pet in Chicago since he was baby. In October 2021, he was rescued by Chicago Animal Care and Control and rehomed to Born Free USA’s primate sanctuary – his forever home, where he will live in conditions as close as possible to the wild, with good food, medical care, enrichment, and the company of other monkeys.
