Citing research from her book, Licensing Laws and Animal Welfare: The Legal Protection of Wild Animals, Liz discusses the many ways wild animals suffer in zoos and the failure of laws to properly safeguard animals and provide for minimum standards of care because the laws and regulations prioritize the needs and interests of exploitative industries over the needs of the exploited animals.
