Four Amazing Rescues of Exotic Animals from Roadside Zoos

Many organizations are working to shut down cruel roadside zoos and relocate animals to sanctuaries, where they can get the freedom and care that they deserve. In 2012, the Humane Society of the United States led a rescue of 11 neglected exotic animals from Collins Zoo. With the help of several other groups, including the Born Free USA Primate Sanctuary, three tigers, three cougars, two leopards, two wolf hybrids, and one Macaque monkey were rescued. The Macaque monkey was saved by the Born Free USA Primate Sanctuary.
