H.B. 212: Protecting Trapping Under the Constitution

Update (Feb. 3, 2015): This bill passed the House of Representatives. It will now go to the Senate.

Bill Description:
This bill would add trapping to an amendment in the state constitution that already protects the right of citizens to hunt and fish in Montana.[teaserbreak]

Background:
This bill is a move to prevent any future anti-trapping initiatives, including ones that would regulate the placement of traps for the protection of other people and animals that share the land.
