SB 307 Regulates the Possession of Dangerous Reptiles [2009]

Update: This bill was passed by the Legislature and signed into law by the Governor on July 27, 2009.

Bill Description: If this bill passes, it would require those who possess venomous reptiles, large constricting snakes, and crocodilians to properly house and transport the animals. In addition, an escape recovery plan and other emergency procedures are required.[teaserbreak]

Dangerous reptiles pose a threat to the public safety and the time is long overdue for the state to enact common-sense, fundamental oversight.
