Born Free USA Blog
Last week, I was invited to give a presentation to the Wichita, Kansas, chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) on “Green” PR and social marketing. Of course, I was delighted to have the opportunity to speak on the topic and to address many of the issues public relations professionals encounter when trying to communicate their company or client’s messages.
Of the many steps to take when creating any communication on green initiatives, one that is of utmost importance is that of “transformational partnerships.” These are the types of partnerships where a business teams up with a (usually) non-profit organization to make change related to that initiative. One great example is the partnership between Fiji bottled water and Conservation International to counsel the company on achieving the goals set forth in its ambitious sustainability initiative.
Born Free USA united with API also has a corporate partnership program in which we team up with like-minded companies and artists to promote quality products that, in turn, benefit our efforts on behalf of animals. We are lucky to work with some fantastic folks and are continually developing new relationships to make as much change for wild animals as we can. You can check out our current partners here. And, if you’re an artist or company interested in doing something to help wildlife in the U.S., drop us a line!
Together the possibilities to transform the lives of so many are literally endless.
