Zeke Browsing

Sixteen-year-old Zeke browses on some fresh grass at his new home at the Born Free USA Primate Sanctuary. Zeke is one of 10 stump-tailed macaques transferred from the Wild Animal Orphanage on July 25, 2012. Born Free USA is a leader in animal welfare and wildlife conservation with campaigns against animals in entertainment, exotic "pets," trapping and fur, and the wildlife trade. The Born Free USA Primate Sanctuary provides a safe, permanent home for more than 500 nonhuman primates, many of whom were rescued from abusive situations in research facilities, roadside zoos, or private possession. Our mission is to "Keep Wildlife in the Wild."
