Summary:
Atlanta Zoo’s 28-year-old African elephant, Dottie, died. She was pregnant with her first calf. Zoo officials noticed significant body weight changes and cloudy urine and began antibiotics on October 22. A necropsy was to be performed to determine the cause of death.
