Mission
Exotic animals — lions, tigers, wolves, bears, reptiles, non-human primates — belong in their natural habitat and not in the hands of private individuals as "pets." By their very nature, these animals are wild and potentially dangerous and, as such, do not adjust well to a captive environment.
The More Beautiful Wild campaign will build on Born Free USA's success in working at the federal, state, and local levels to protect exotic animals, and to protect communities from the health and safety risks associated with the private possession of these animals through:
Public education about the inherent dangers that exist in keeping wild and exotic animals in private hands.
Passage of federal, state, and local laws aimed at prohibiting wild and exotic animals.
