Summary: Silver Creek Beagle Club illegally set out traps to rid the club of predatory birds to protect the bait rabbits they use to train beagles, violating the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. A great horned owl was found dead in the area as well as a red-shouldered hawk with both legs broken (the hawk was later euthanized). The club was fined $9,450.
