Summary: A 2-year-old male Bonnett macaque, Jamie, bit a woman on her lip at a local tavern, which touched off a brawl. Jamie had been involved in 7 biting incidents. His "owners" were given three written warnings and were fined twice as a result of Jamie’s behavior. Prior to the 04/02/99 incident, Animal Control officers labeled Jamie dangerous and ordered him restricted from public contact. Jamie was taken away from his "owners" and put in the custody of Frisky’s Wildlife and Primate Refuge.
