Summary: A woman found hoarding several species of animals, including exotics and wildlife such as kinkajous and raccoons, was charged with neglect when her mentally disabled son was found unresponsive in the yard and later died. Authorities claim the house was so filthy the children's feet were caked with feces and dirt. Plumbing and appliances such as the toilet, washer, dryer, ovenm, and 2 refrigerators did not work. Other animals found in the home included 109 cats, 3 dogs, and 39 cockatiels. The woman was charged with criminal neglect of a disabled child, a felony, as well as misdeameanors alleging cild endangerment, animal hoarding and cruel treatment.
