Summary: A 36-year old Asian elephant named Dondi died at Southwick's Zoo in Mendon. She was used for performances and rides. It was later reported that the elephant died of tuberculosis, which is transmissable to humans. The zoo's previous elephant, Judy, also died of tuberculosis.
